When you start to get in touch with the fungi, you are very likely to feel astonished in front of these very strange organisms. Just imagine: a very large set of microscopic threads (the hyphae) which contain thousand of cells and are spread around a forest soil or simply a wet fruit or... your skin. These hyphae absorb organic molecules from their close environment and grow longer and longer... When the environmental conditions are warm and wet enough, the hyphae grow very fast to raise a small organ called "sporangius", where the spores are produced. Some fungi produce very complex structures to hold the sporangius, and some of these structures are known as the mushrooms.
